Visiting Ensenada

This page is for anyone who does not live in Ensenada: driving down from San Diego, off a cruise ship with a few hours free, or staying a while in Valle de Guadalupe. The point is not to talk you into something while you are passing through — it is to give you enough to decide properly.

The office is 15 minutes from downtown Ensenada, 10 from the cruise terminal, 45 from Valle de Guadalupe and an hour and a half from the San Ysidro border crossing.

Not every treatment is appropriate for someone who is travelling. Some need a check a few days later, and that cannot always be handled remotely.

If a treatment is not a good fit for your trip, the doctor will tell you so at the consultation.

A light-toned entrance is marked by an olive tree beside the sidewalk.
  1. Is service available in English?

Yes. English is spoken at the office.

  2. How do I schedule a consultation from out of town?

Message us on WhatsApp or use the form, one to two weeks ahead. That much notice is what makes it possible to fit in the appointment and, if you need one, the follow-up.

  3. Which treatments are appropriate for visitors?

Botulinum toxin, Dermapen, HidraFacial, salmon PDRN and under-eye treatment.

  4. Which treatments require follow-up?

These need an in-person check: botulinum toxin at 2 to 3 weeks; facial fillers, lip filler, chemical peels and fractional CO2 laser or IPL resurfacing at 2 weeks; under-eye treatment at 3 weeks; collagen biostimulators and laser vaginal rejuvenation at 4 weeks; and GLP-1 weight management at one month. No follow-up is needed for facials and the HidraFacial, laser hair removal, Dermapen, salmon PDRN, the Hollywood peel or wart removal.

  5. How much downtime should I plan for?

Anywhere from none to ten days, depending on the treatment. None for facials, the HidraFacial, laser hair removal and laser vaginal rejuvenation; 2 hours for the Hollywood peel; 4 to 6 hours for botulinum toxin, Dermapen, salmon PDRN and under-eye treatment; 1 to 3 days for biostimulators and lip filler; 48 hours for facial fillers; 4 to 5 days for wart removal; 7 to 10 days for chemical peels and fractional CO2 laser or IPL resurfacing; and a week for GLP-1 weight management.

  6. Can I drive home the same day?

    Yes, in every case.

  7. What happens if I have a concern once I am home?

Message us on WhatsApp. If you need to be looked at, we set up a FaceTime appointment.

  8. Which payment methods and currencies do you accept?

Cash in pesos or dollars, credit card, debit card and bank transfer. The card terminal accepts cards issued by US banks.

  9. Where is the office relative to downtown, the cruise port and the Valle?

The Ensenada office is 15 minutes from downtown, 10 minutes from the cruise terminal, 45 minutes from Valle de Guadalupe and an hour and a half from the San Ysidro crossing. The Tijuana office is 5 to 10 minutes from that same crossing.

  10. Is transportation offered?

No. The office does not offer transportation at this time.

  11. Are there hotel recommendations nearby?

In Ensenada, Hotel Marea Vista. In Tijuana, Hotel Ticuan, for how close it is to the office.

  12. What should I sort out before travelling?

Have a list of the medications you are currently taking, and bring sunscreen.
