Sculptra is not about filling. It stimulates your body’s own collagen production, helping restore firmness, improve skin quality and achieve a gradual, balanced rejuvenation.
Unlike a filler, there is no immediate change: the product is poly-L-lactic acid, which the body absorbs while stimulating your own collagen production. That is why the result appears gradually, and why it is usually worked across several sessions weeks apart rather than in a single visit.
At the consultation the doctor looks at your skin, your history and what you want to achieve, and that is where it gets decided whether this treatment is the right one, whether another one suits you better, or whether it is worth waiting. If what you are expecting is not realistic, she will tell you.

Who it is for

What the appointment involves

Assessment and session plan
The doctor looks at where firmness has been lost and works out how many sessions will be needed and how far apart. The whole plan is agreed here, not just the first appointment.

Injection
The area is cleansed, topical anaesthetic applied, and the product placed in the deeper planes of the face with a needle or cannula.

Massage at home
Afterwards the area has to be massaged over the following days, several times a day. The doctor shows you how: it is part of the treatment, not an optional extra.

How many sessions is it?
